The Music video was released on March 8th, 2024, and reached over 207 million views.

At the beginning of the video, it is shown that Ariana’s character “Peaches” is in a waiting room for a place called “Brighter Days INC” and she is reading a paper. This paper is requesting permission to remove a person from her memory and then she checks off the box.

She later is seen going inside the “Doctor’s Office” and getting set up for her procedure. You can see in her eyes that she is nervous as the wall next to her opens up, and she begins to replay her past memories. It seems the person she is trying to get rid of is her ex-lover, whom we can see she is spending a lot of time with. They can be seen going to the arcade and just spending romantic time together.

She puts all of her memories of him in a single box as they later end up making snow angels and celebrating her birthday. It then flashes and shows an alternate reality where she is doing all of these things by herself and she seems to be really happy. She then remembers that she kept one thing of him which was a necklace and she begins pleading with the nurses to allow her to keep this item but before they can respond her memory is wiped and they take the necklace from her forging a new memory of her and her dog.

Lastly, we see Peaches walking out of the clinic very happy and with someone new as the person who she wanted to forget walks past her making no notion as to their past relations because she doesn’t remember him.

We all have a person we want to forget all about but Ariana Grande’s artistry allowed her to show us her experience of what she went through as well as allowing us to acknowledge what we might be missing out on if we do. Moments will pass just remember to live in them while they last.
