“TTYL”-Loossemble Song Review
Intro
Loossemble is one of the two new groups formed from “Loona”, a k-pop girl group from South Korea. This group consists of five members HyunJin, ViVi, Go Won, HyeJu, and YeoJin. Today, we are reviewing one of their latest tracks called “TTYL”, a song about obsession and love. I’m excited to hear what they are producing now as a newly formed group.
Song Review
The song starts with a glimpse of the chorus and immediately goes full speed into the first verse. You get hit with a groovy and fast-paced dance song that gets more catchy the more you listen. The songs contains attitude where they say “I could be the one… if you want my love” showing that this person wants them badly and they recognize how much they’re falling in love. Then it goes on to the chorus “That’s right, better move for what I like, If you wanna take my lovе, better keep on talking” showing how they have this bratty attitude. If you want them, you better listen to what they say. The song is very fast-paced and gets you feeling like you should dance with the beat. The pre-chorus serves as a nice short break to the fast-paced beat where you hear the nice melody of the song. Late in the song comes a very long bridge which works here because of the fast pacing so you cant really tell how long it is. The lyrics during the bridge say that they know they’re the right girl, the girl of their dreams, their fantasy.
Final Thoughts
My thoughts on this as a non-kpop listener is that this is a very catchy song. I have enjoyed songs by “Loona” before so I knew I would most likely enjoy this if they were anything similar. The chorus is amazing, it’s catchy and easy to grasp so even on the first listen you get hooked. The production quality is very good, the mixing of the vocals is clean and crisp. This is a type of song where I would avoid listening to it repeatedly because I would get tired of it but I still added it to my playlist. I usually wouldn’t add a song without fully enjoying it.
