K-Pop on the Rise

Music, a creative way for people to express their thoughts and feelings, comes in many forms. Music is categorized by genres based on certain styles, features, and subject matter. When thinking of music genres, the first ones that probably come to mind are Hip-Hop/ Rap, Pop, Rock, and Country (you know, the most popular genres). But there is a genre that’s on the rise and you NEED to check it out: K-Pop. K-pop or Korean Pop originated in South Korea and gained international attention in 2018 after experiencing a 18% increase in revenue growth. One of the K-Pop groups that were a catalyst of that growth was BTS. BTS is a talented group of seven artists, but today we’re focusing on the youngest member of the group: JungKook.
