Born October 23rd, 1985, Miguel Jontel Pimentel from San Pedro, California was signed to Jive Records in 2007 at the age of thirteen. His biggest album “All I Want Is You” which was released in November 2010 became his most-known album with some of his hottest songs. The second single coming from this album is titled “Sure Thing” which in 2023 returned to the Billboard Hot 100 and became his most popular song to date. In the intro to this song, he’s basically describing the type of woman that he ran into who is captivating his mind. He is also wondering if she would be his friend with benefits meaning they would be close and constantly have intercourse but never a relationship.

In verse two his mind kind of changes and he realizes how much he would do to protect her and his love. He says that if he ever needed to his fists would be there to protect her and that he would never make her feel any type of way because his mind will never neglect you. Then he says if any outside elements want to split them apart they wouldn’t because their love could never be affected.

Referencing back to how much he wants to be with this “Art Dealer Chick” and how much he wants to let her accept his love and let it consume her. Then he subtly sneaks in how he wants his love to undress her and love on her. Then he reassures her by telling her that no matter what anybody says about him he will love her.

“Don’t let nobody tell you different baby” but he could also be trying to manipulate her by trying to convince her how much he loves her just enough to get her into bed and then never talk to her again.
