This music video was released on July 13th, 2018, and reached over 408 million viewers.

We start off with a grand visual of Ariana Grande coming out of the Milky Way in a sort of ethereal pose. She is swaying her hips in a way that convinces the viewer to understand that she is the one who is making the Milky Way spin. In other words, she wants the viewer to see her vision as she says “You would believe God is a Woman”.

She is then seen in a giant pool of some sort of milky substance with lots of vibrant colors and is just lying there. The visual is shaped like a vagina and she’s in the middle. This can be understood that women are powerful and she might be wanting the viewer to think “What if God had a vagina and was a woman”. Everyone has their own belief on who that person is but this is Ariana’s Song in which she is depicting a universe in which God is a woman.

Lastly in all of her visuals, she is showing the power that women have and showing multiple women in this music video. She is also re-doing biblical paintings and re-imagining them as if they were women instead of the men in which they are depicted.

She then quotes from the bible and swings a hammer into a glass ceiling revealing a pair of legs and she is standing in between them while Madonna says “And you will know my name is the lord when I lay my vengeance upon you”. which is a very beautiful visual message as well as the imagery portrayed In this music video.
