If you were a Disney Channel watcher as a child, then you know all about the Jonas Brothers: Nick, Joe and Kevin. Nick and Joe are known for their singing prowess while Kevin was known for how well he played instruments. This week, we’re focusing on Joe Jonas and the vocals he sang for his band DNCE. DNCE was formed in 2015 after The Jonas Brothers split in 2013. The band is made up of Joe Jonas (vocalist), JinJoo Lee (guitarist), Jack Lawless (drummer), and Cole Whittle (bass guitarist). Their music is mainly pop and rock with dance and funk elements. They only released one album, “DNCE”, and it had a great mixture of pop and rock songs. We’ll be focusing on one of their pop songs, “Toothbrush”.

“Toothbrush” is about Joe Jonas letting a woman that he hooked up with know that she can get comfortable in his home. He starts off the song with letting her know that they don’t have to keep their situation hidden and she can leave a toothbrush in his house. She doesn’t have to rush out his place because he actually likes this woman. As the song continues, he describes how the woman makes him feel even when she’s in her natural state. This song has a great upbeat vibe to it and can lift your mood anytime you hear it.
